I am a Professor in the College of Business and Economics (CBE), committed to advancing and ensuring the quality of scholarship and academic freedom at ANU.
As HDR Convenor in the Research School of Accounting since 2023, I have worked on academic standards, the local impact of policies, program quality, and pathways to higher degree research. I have experience in program management and policies relevant to course design and assessment. I have supervised over 25 research students and received the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵCBE Best Supervision Award in 2020. I am committed to exploring how AI can support high-quality education and the student experience while safeguarding course and assessment integrity.
Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues is a fundamental part of my work. Since 2019, I have led mentoring and research training initiatives, including founding the Early Career Researcher Support Network, which now has more than 170 participants from business schools across universities internationally. As Co-Director of the Australian National Centre for Audit and Assurance Research, I have supported scholarship at the discipline level.
If elected, I will bring an experienced and collegial perspective to academic governance at ANU, with a focus on improving processes, strengthening research training, and responding to concerns.
