I am seeking your support to serve a second term on ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵAcademic Board.
I had a long-standing personal connection to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵbefore I became a staff member. I came from regional NSW to study history and law, lived on campus for a while and worked as a research assistant in the School of Art. I came back to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵas a professional staff member in 2019 and since then I’ve worked as a fundraiser in Advancement and as a partnership manager in the Research & Innovation Division. More recently I’ve worked on the Nixon Review supporting the Review itself and the participation of staff and students in working groups examining how ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵcan provide a better, safer experience for all of us. I am an NTEU member.
Professional staff make a huge contribution to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵand deserve to be supported, respected, and valued - our voices need to be heard every time an important decision about the future of our University is made. In the last two years I’ve participated in discussions and presented views on behalf of colleagues at Academic Board and if elected I will continue be a strong voice to represent our interests.
