A new chapter begins at ANU
A significant new chapter began at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵon Friday 14 August with the reopening of University House and the launch of ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵby 2030.
ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ2030 Strategy & University House Opening
For the first time since 2020, the doors to one of the University's most important gathering places were officially opened again following an extensive restoration. Staff, students, alumni, special guests and members of the Canberra community came together to mark the occasion and celebrate 80 years of ANU.
The launch of ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵby 2030 turned attention to the University's future. The strategy sets out three areas of impact: discovering knowledge of consequence and building sovereign capability through research; delivering a world-class, research-led education that develops future leaders; and convening expertise, ideas and perspectives to address Australia's most important challenges.
From the presentation of the University House Key to the launch of the University's new strategy, the ceremony reflected on the people, places and shared purpose that have made ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵwhat it is today. It was a fitting way to honour the University's past, welcome University House back to campus and look ahead to the years to come.
