Syed Akbaruddin is a distinguished Indian diplomat and foreign policy expert with a career spanning international diplomacy and multilateral engagement.
He served as India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2016 to 2020, where he represented India on key global issues, including peace and security, sustainable development and international cooperation.
Before this, he held senior roles within India’s Ministry of External Affairs, including Official Spokesperson, contributing to the country’s diplomatic communications and foreign policy strategy.
