ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵGiving Day – Let’s make konzo disappear
A record number of students, staff, alumni and friends raised over $85,000 through the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵGiving Day appeal to help prevent the disease konzo.
All funds raised directly support educational programs run in partnership with the National Institute of Nutrition in the Democratic Republic of Congo to teach villagers Dr Bradbury's affordable "wetting method". Dr Colin Taylor, Director of Principal Gifts, said that the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵGiving Day shows the power of the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵcommunity: "It was wonderful to see so many members of the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵcommunity come together to support ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵresearch that has a global impact."
