“I really enjoyed the opportunity to visit Oliver Wyman in person and speak about the opportunities that were offered. Hearing about the stories of international travel and working around the world inspired me to look into OW's graduate program. The relaxed atmosphere and light supper made for a good environment to ask particular questions about the recruitment process.”

“Participating in the [resume] workshop was highly educational. It not only helped relieve my stress but also significantly boosted my confidence. Although the large number of participants made the session less personalised, the subsequent one-on-one coaching effectively addressed this issue.”

"I approached the ƵCareers and Employability team earlier in the year with a vision for a careers event that was inclusive, dynamic, and relevant for people of various study levels, backgrounds, and degrees. They were very supportive and provided a great deal of guidance, especially during the planning stages. I always felt as if I had an open line of communication with them when I needed to clarify certain things or ask for any suggestions or recommendations. On the night of the event itself, the workshop presented by Tempe and Lucy honestly exceeded my expectations. Not only did they address all the goals and objectives of the event, they also did it in a way that was the perfect balance of being informative and interactive. The expectations of the attendees were also exceeded. Students who were: undergrads, postgrads, domestic or international students, approached me after the event saying how they all got something out of the event that they could apply to their own career journey. Needless to say, Career Planning 101 was a great success, and this was in large part thanks to the ƵCareers and Employability team."

"The ƵCareers and Employability Team added value into our course. Many students enjoyed the opportunity to understand more about their professional selves, learn about networking and gain insights on how to build and refine their CV. The employers panel organised by the team was a highlight of the course for many students. In addition, the team was a dream to work with; they communicated with us well, developed and ran the workshops, and organised material for the students to access in their own time.”

“Thank you Jade, Andrew, Tempe and the industry engagement team at Ƶfor the invitation to discuss pharma/biotech careers with the 3rd year health science students last week on campus. The students showed genuine curiosity for the various functions within the pharma/biotech industry as well as strong enthusiasm for internship/experience programs that may assist their future employment prospects. I think that the information regarding alternative careers outside of medicine/allied health is not so readily available, and it was certainly even more scarce when I was completing my undergraduate degree almost 10 years ago! I am glad I was able to answer the students’ questions (most of them at least) and provide the chance to hear from me about the rewarding nature of a role in Medical Affairs. Hopefully I have provided some level of insight into the industry and how each individual departmental function plays an important part in bringing therapeutics to patients”

“The ƵSpeed Networking event was a great opportunity for both employers and students to get together to discuss internships, graduate opportunities and, in general, discuss career opportunities with students. Personally, I think the event was a massive success! The format was exceptional, giving us the opportunity to interact with a wide range of students from different backgrounds and studies. The event also gave each student the opportunity to engage with a range of employers who they may not have spoken with previously. I look forward to attending the event next year.”
