Hank Nelson Prize

Every two years the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵCollege of Asia and the Pacific may offer an award known as the Hank Nelson Prize.

Overview

The objectives of the prize are to honour the memory of Hank Nelson and his commitment to Papua New Guinea, and to acknowledge the best Doctor of Philosophy thesis submitted by any student, internationally, on any aspect of Papua New Guinea’s history or society in which Hank Nelson was interested. 

The value of the prize/s awarded is $2,000 AUD. 

Funding for this prize has been provided by the Hank Nelson Memorial Endowment.
