Tech.Launcher

Course:

Tech.Launcher (Industry Group Project)

Description:

The format of this session was a 45-minute talk from a local employer, who discussed what skills he looks for. He also spoke about the transferability of skills from casual work, volunteering, and other backgrounds. This talk included a Q&A session with students.

The employer talk was followed by an interactive group activity, where students were asked to identify roles of interest, then match with them with the most appropriate skills out of a range of skills that were printed out.

The final activity was for students to take the RIASEC quiz to discover their personality type, and what types of careers align with said personality type. Our Careers Consultants then visited each student for a quick debrief on their results, giving examples of jobs they could seek post-graduation.
