Academic documents after conferral

When your ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵqualification is conferred (formally awarded), the University issues official documents confirming your qualification and academic record.

  • Testamur – the formal certificate confirming that ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵhas awarded your qualification.
  • Academic Transcript – the official record of your ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵstudies, including programs, courses, marks, grades, grade point average (GPA) and program status.
  • Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS) – a statement describing your qualification, studies, ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵand the Australian higher education system.

Documents for upcoming or recent conferrals

As part of your conferral, you will receive:

  • a physical Testamur
  • electronic copies of your Testamur, Academic Transcript and AHEGS through My eQuals.

How and when you will receive your documents depends on your conferral process:

If the relevant timeframe has passed and a document expected as part of your conferral is still missing, contact Conferrals.

Documents for past graduates

The documents issued to you at conferral depend on when your qualification was conferred.

Accessing and sharing electronic documents (My eQuals)

My eQuals is the secure platform ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵuses for certified electronic Academic Transcripts, AHEGS and Testamurs.

You can access any electronic ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵacademic documents issued to you on conferral through My eQuals.

When you share your documents through My eQuals, the recipient can verify that they were issued by ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵand have not been altered.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵdoes not send Academic Transcripts, AHEGS or Testamurs as PDF attachments by email, as emailed copies do not provide the same security or verification as documents shared through My eQuals.

Additional, replacement and supporting documents

After completing your studies or conferring, you may need another copy of an academic document or a different document confirming your studies.

Evidence of completion before conferral

Your qualification is not formally awarded until conferral. An Academic Transcript issued before conferral will show your academic record and program status at the time it is issued, but will not show the qualification as conferred.

If you have completed your program and need evidence before conferral, a Completion Letter can confirm that you have completed the requirements of your program and are eligible to confer.
